Havas appoints Shanghai MD

Havas Media has appointed Manfred Tsang as managing director for its Shanghai office.Reporting to Elizabeth Zhou, general manager of Havas Media China, he brings some 19 years of experience to the role.Tsang will be responsible for delivering the agency's ‘Meaningful brands' proposition to clients by assimilating it in planning and buying mechanism. He will also be oversee new business and staff development.Thomas Wong, CEO of Havas Media, said the Shanghai operation was at a "interesting and critical" stage of its development and Manfred was good fit for the MD role."Looking at his track record with media agencies and the clients he has handled it is clear that he is hungry for unconventional challenges and is a go getter in every sense of the word."I have no doubt that he will play an important role in strengthening our operations in China," he added.
