Hannibal Comes To AXN, IAB Sets Up Committees

Sony signs with Gaumont International TelevisionSony Pictures Television Networks has inked a deal with Gaumont International Television to bring new TV series Hannibal to AXN networks around the world. The series, based on the infamous character of Hannibal Lecter, will be broadcasts in 63 countries, and translated in 18 languages worldwide. AXN is looking to further develop both global and local original series to expand its programmes, positioning itself as a global channel for dramas.IAB Singapore to boost digital advertisingThe Interactive Advertising Bureau Southeast Asia, Singapore Chapter (IAB Singapore) has launched three IAB Industry Committees for its future key initiatives and programmes. To target areas of creative, research & insights, and education & training, the committees have been set up to boost digital advertising in the market. IAB has developed a four-point plan to education, enable, inspire and elevate.David Jeffs, head of insights at Yahoo Southeast Asia & India, will be the head of research & insights. Omnicom Group's Jason Kuperman, vice-president of Omnicom Digital (APIMA), will be in charge of education & training and David Brown, regional digital director of Asia Pacific at Iris Worldwide, will take the lead for creative.BBC to air celebrations live globallyBBC Worldwide Channels said its live coverage of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee Celebrations will air on BBC Channels across Asia, Australia, New Zealand, Latin America, India, Africa, Europe and the Middle East. Broadcasted directly from BBC ONE in the UK, it will bring the top British presenters, experts and music talent to its global audience. The celebrations will also be available on BBC Global iPlayer in selected markets.
