Gucci hands new TVC telecast right to CNN

From now to 13 December, Gucci is launching a TV commercial exclusively on CNN International to promote its latest Gucci Bamboo collection.The TV commercial, which will begin this week across Asia Pacific, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and the USA, will also feature online executions running on both CNN.com and CNN Money, that will last until 29 December.The television executions will form part of an integrated drive that will see the luxury brand sponsor a CNN Style 2014 theme week on CNN International, in the network’s ‘CNN NewsCenter’, alongside commercial vignettes, and sponsorship of a special section on CNN.com, www.cnn.com/style.Shot on location at The Savoy in London, the short film places fall's Bamboo Shopper and Lady Lock handbags centre stage.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3D8AOGg94QY[gallery link="file" columns="5" ids="30321,30318,30317,30319,30320"]"This is a strategic opportunity to present our highly successful Bamboo Confidential integrated campaign across platforms and regions through CNN International's unique network in the all-important holiday season month of December,” said Robert Triefus, chief marketing officer of Gucci.“It will be the first time we have used television in this way, and CNN International's reach will ensure that this campaign will be extremely effective and efficient."William Hsu, VP news advertising sales of CNN International Asia Pacific, said Gucci joins an expanding portfolio of luxury brands across the CNN platform, underlining the strength of its commercial proposition.
