Interpublic Group agency Golin has just announced Ben Evetts as executive director, overseeing the agency’s corporate, technology and financial business in Hong Kong.Evetts will be responsible for building out Golin’s business-to-business practice, and growing Hong Kong’s position as an international hub for both the launch of Asian businesses across the world, and those expanding into Asia.In addition to his day-to-day client responsibilities, Evetts will also lead Golin Hong Kong’s crisis communications offer, leaning on his experience which spans international border disputes, fraud investigations, product recalls and workplace accidents. He reports directly to Jane Morgan, managing director.Evetts was previously based in Singapore as vice president, corporate and technology, for IPG sister agency Weber Shandwick. With 17 years’ experience in communications, he has also led international campaigns for companies including SABIC, MasterCard, FWD Insurance, GSMA, Motorola Solutions, ServiceNow and HP."Ben brings a depth of corporate knowledge to the Hong Kong leadership team, complementing our growing strength in the market," said Morgan. "His move illustrates our ongoing investment into Hong Kong, and indeed Asia, by bringing in the brightest talent, at all levels, in order we can provide market defining service for our clients.""Having worked closely with the Golin leadership team while in London, this move feels like a homecoming for me. I have admired Golin’s creative leadership over the past few years and I’m delighted to be joining a team that is focused on relevancy as a platform to change the communications industry for the better," said Evetts.
