GODIVA Chocolatier has appointed boutique agency Touch PR & Events as its PR partner for Singapore. The agency will collaborate with GODIVA on media engagement and influencer relations.
According to the press statement, Touch will kick-start the retainer contract by managing the launch of GODIVA’s first lifestyle concept cafe at ION Orchard on 29 June 2017. This symbolises GODIVA’s first cafe foray into Southeast Asia.
Established in 2007, Touch is based in Singapore and has an affiliate network that spans other Southeast Asian countries including Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand. Among the list of beauty clients that Touch services include Sulwhasoo, LANEIGE, ETUDE HOUSE and innisfree.
Carmen Chiu, marketing and GODIVA’s merchandising director China and Pacific Rim, said the partnership marks the company’s first engagement with a PR agency in Singapore. “I am confident that Touch will assist GODIVA with passion to support our business expansion and share the same chocolate dream we have for Singapore,” she added.
In a statement to Marketing, Eileen Wee, managing director at Touch PR, said the agency was chosen for its expertise in working consumer lifestyle media pitches and its strength in media and influencer relations, as well as its creative event proposals that created memorable experiences.
This appointment comes after Touch recently won British technology Dyson and live motorsport event Monster Jam, which will debut in Singapore’s National Stadium on 19 August 2017. Wee said the agency is working with Dyson and Monster Jam on a project basis.
