GHC names Brad Burgess as head of China

GHC Asia has appointed former Burson-Marsteller's director Brad Burgess as head of China.Burgess will lead the firm’s operations and client service for China, working closely with Rhoda Adams, who takes on a new role for business development in China.He will be a key member of the senior management team, reporting to Nicola Oldfield, group managing director, and will be initially based in Beijing, but work across the Beijing and Shanghai offices. Burgess joins GHC Asia from Burson-Marsteller where he was an award-winning director in China, focusing on international communications and reputation management. Prior to joining Burson-Marsteller, he held positions of increasing responsibility at IPG agencies Weber Shandwick and Golin.An American national and living in China for nearly 15 years, Burgess is fluent in Mandarin and literate in Chinese and a published writer in English and Chinese.Paul Hicks, CEO and founding partner of GHC Asia said, “We are delighted to have Brad join us to strengthen our team and management focus in China, particularly at a time of great change and opportunity in the market.
