GCH Retail picks Arcis Communications for PR duties

GCH Retail Malaysia, a subsidiary of Dairy Farm International, has picked Arcis Communications to handle PR and communications duties for its brands for two years. The brands under GCH are Giant, Cold Storage, Mercato and Jason's Food Hall.In a statement to A+M, Michele Malini Mahendra, partner and head of client services, Arcis Communications, said the appointment covers PR, issues management, CSR engagements, media relations, brand equity management and special projects in Malaysia. This follows a pitch held early this year in Kuala Lumpur, and work began on 1 April 2018.Mahendra said that Arcis Communications began working with GCH last November solely for issues management and ad hoc projects. She added that prior to this retainer appointment, GCH worked with various agencies on a project basis.According to Mahendra, the agency was chosen due to the fact that it demonstrated value in how it served GCH. It takes pride in offering 360 solutions, coupled with quick turnaround times for clients.
