Insurance brand FWD Singapore has appointed Saatchi & Saatchi as its agency of record, effective immediately.Saatchi & Saatchi will handle through the line communications for the launch of a challenger brand which promises to “disrupt the local insurance scene by redefining the customer experience.”“What we were looking for was a creative partner who could embrace our vision to change the way people feel about insurance,” David Broom, chief marketing officer, FWD Singapore, said, adding that Saatchi & Saatchi’s creative proposal was equal parts bold and ambitious, and “showed us that they clearly understood what we aim to achieve in Singapore.”Lou Dela Pena, CEO, Publicis Communications Singapore said, “Saatchi & Saatchi has always stood for audacious creativity, and in FWD, it has found a kindred spirit.”“I am confident that our partnership, led by the powerful combination of Steve Walls and Dominic Stallard, will deliver work that will meet FWD’s ambitions. For the first time, they will also be able to draw on the full complement of specialist services available to Publicis Communications agencies.”The appointment was announced after a month-long closed pitch involving five agencies, and follows recent client wins at sister creative agencies, Publicis Singapore (Health Promotion Board) and Leo Burnett (Christmas On A Great Street 2016). Playing a crucial role in the pitch were Steve Walls, head of planning, Singapore, Saatchi & Saatchi, alongside Dominic Stallard, executive creative director & global ECD, Saatchi & Saatchi (both pictured). All three agencies are now housed under the Publicis Communications umbrella after holding company Publicis Groupe announced at the start of the year that it would reorganise its agencies to eliminate silos and offer a more integrated service for clients.
