Consultancy The Futures Company has opened a new office in Singapore that will act as a hub for serving clients in the Asia Pacific region.
Stephane Alpern, managing director for Asia-Pacific and Jeremy Sy, director of consulting for Asia Pacific, will lead the Singapore office.
Alpern (pictured) told Marketing that while the company does not have any direct competitors it does compete against various boutique agencies globally. These include the likes of brand consultancies, insights companies and management consultants.
He added that the short term goal for the company is to build up its services in Singapore and then expand into key markets across Southeast Asia, particularly India and China.
The Futures Company is a Kantar company within WPP with teams in Europe, North America, Latin America and Asia-Pacific. It focuses on strategic insight and innovation consultancy focused on unlocking new sources of growth for clients through unparalleled global expertise in foresight and futures.
“In an increasingly competitive marketplace, we believe that companies that are too focused on the short-term, risk missing out on opportunities for growth. Those that think about the future today will lead their categories tomorrow,” Alpern added.
Will Galgey, global CEO of The Futures Company, added that over the past few years the agency has “developed a unique perspective on the drivers of change in the diverse markets of Asia-Pacific. Establishing a hub in Singapore enables us to help more clients in this region to seize the future.”
