Former Pos Malaysia group CEO heads to AirAsia's logistics arm

Dato’ Mohd Shukrie Mohd Salleh (pictured), former group CEO at Pos Malaysia, has joined Redbox Logistics, AirAsia's new logistics arm. This was confirmed by AirAsia CEO Tony Fernandes in a Twitter post on Thursday. We have the planes.— Tony Fernandes (@tonyfernandes) February 22, 2018Prior to the appointment, Dato’ Mohd Shukrie Mohd Salleh was Pos Malaysia’s group CEO, a role he held until 31 December 2017. According to a filing on Bursa Malaysia at the time, Mohd Shukrie Mohd Salleh expressed his desire to make a career change, having served at Pos Malaysia for five years.He has also served at DRB-HICOM, the parent company of Pos Malaysia, for 12 years. According to the filing, Mohd Shukrie Mohd Salleh played a vital role in the acquisition of logistics-related assets, forming a strategic collaboration with Lazada Malaysia, which is one of the pivotal elements of the newly launched Digital Free Trade Zone by the government.He also helped forged collaborations with companies such as Tigers Limited of Hong Kong. The filing also stated that Pos Malaysia witnessed consistent improvements in its business operations under Mohd Shukrie Mohd Salleh’s leadership. After his exit, he was replaced by Al-Ishsal Ishak, effective 2 February 2018.
