Saatchi & Saatchi Malaysia managing director Adrian Sng has taken on a new role as CEO of Hive-Asia as of January this year. He left his MD role in November last year.
In an exclusive statement to A+M, Sng said Hive Asia is a newly setup company that will operate like a blue ocean company.
“We are looking to do new things in the industry and offering clients opportunities to specifically target like minded communities. This includes market places where brands are able to place their products in the hands of consumers. I am very excited with Hive and it’s potential. We will look to expand our services in the near future as well as our reach into other markets within the next two years,” he added.
Sng left shortly after the merger of Saatchi & Saatchi Malaysia with the Saatchi & Arachnid brand, the collective now known as Saatchi & Saatchi Arachnid. Meanwhile, David Soo overseeing took on the role of managing director.
Prior to his exit, he had been in the managing director role for two years and reported to Shannon Cullum, CEO of Saatchi & Saatchi Singapore and Malaysia as CEO. Before that, he was general manager for two years until his promotion in 2014.
During his time in the agency, Sng led the agency to four new business wins, including KDU and Paramount Corporation Berhad together with organic wins on Bank Simpanan Nasional, on top of nine wins in 2013.
