Ex-commissioner of Hong Kong Police joins Hong Kong Airlines

Hong Kong Airlines has announced the appointment of Tang King Shing as vice chairman and executive director of the board.Tang is now responsible for overseeing the company’s development strategies.Tang is currently the independent non-executive director of Kingboard Chemical Holdings Limited. Prior to that, Tang took office as the commissioner of Hong Kong Police in January 2007 until his retirement in January 2011. He was appointed a member of the national committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference of the People's Republic of China, and as a director of the Hong Kong News-Expo in 2013.The board of directors of Hong Kong Airline said, "We warmly welcome Tang to join the company, which further strengthens the functions of our board. Tang possesses significant expertise and interpersonal network in international management, security strategy and corporate governance. The board is looking forward to Tang's contribution in taking the company to new heights and creating value for our shareholders and stakeholders."
