Vizeum Asia Pacific has been appointed to handle media duties for Essilor Amera following a four-way pitch. This builds on the agency’s recent regional wins such as Abbott Nutrition International and Huawei.
The regional consolidation of the Essilor business initially spans five markets – Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, China and Thailand, and will expand to include additional markets in 2017. Vizeum’s remit is for all offline and online media, marking the first time Essilor consolidates its local markets with a regional agency of record.
Vizeum will drive a digital agenda, with a content-first strategy employing bespoke interactive video formats across all devices to overcome the key challenge – consumers being unaware of the benefit of superior lenses and lens coatings that correct and protect their eyes.
Essilor is the regional arm of Essilor International. Essilor encompasses several leading brands such as Crizal, Transitions, Varilux, Eyezen and Xperio – all focused on providing consumers with the vision care.Transitions also awarded its media duties to Vizeum Asia Pacific over a year ago so this extends Vizeum’s relationship with the group substantially.
