Essence makes senior promotions to fuel regional growth

Digital agency Essence has promoted James Foreman and Kunal Guha to regional director of analytics and client operations and regional client partner, respectively.Based in Singapore, both Foreman and Guha report to Kyoko Matsushita (pictured), managing director of APAC at Essence.In his new role, Foreman will work with the other practice heads to ensure the agency’s quality across all campaigns - from initial briefing, to campaign management and final wrap up. Meanwhile, as regional client partner, Guha will continue to oversee the strategy practice, in addition to leading senior level client relationships.Foreman joined Essence in 2014 as the associate director of analytics and was tasked with building the regional team. He is also responsible for the region’s advancement in embedding digital intelligence over the past year.  Foreman came from Expedia, where he held roles as senior marketing manager and head of Tripadvisor and performance display marketing.  Previously, he worked for Holiday Extras and lastminute.com.Guha also joined Essence in 2014 as strategy director, and later adding the responsibility of client director. Prior to this role, Guha was marketing communications practice director APAC for Hill + Knowlton Strategies. He also held APAC and global strategy and client services positions at Saatchi & Saatchi, SapientNitro and Landor.Matsushita said, “Foreman and Guha have gone above and beyond when it comes to delivering outstanding client work and driving growth in the region.  I’m excited to see how they will further strengthen our business in both Singapore and Tokyo.”“Over the past year, I’ve not only witnessed the transformation of our analytics practice, I’ve had the great opportunity of getting to know the clients and people of our Singapore office,” said Foreman.“Strategy is such a core part of our business, and it’s been an honor to shepherd the practice.  I look forward to taking on new responsibilities in the APAC region and to deepen client relationships and satisfaction, Guha said.
