ESPN gets on with StarHub and SingTel

Singapore – Sports network ESPN STAR Sports (ESS) has inked deals with both StarHub and SingTel’s pay-tv platforms.

The deals allow ESS’ advertisers to reach a wider audience of sports fans, locally.

With StarHub, ESS has inked a non-exclusive deal to feature its sports channels, including ESPN, Star Sports, ESPN HD, ESPNEWS, Star Cricket and Star Cricket HD, while also launching broadband and mobile services via ESPN Player and Mobile ESPN.

StarHub will air these channels and ESPN Player service from 14 December, followed by Mobile ESPN later this month.

Additionally, ESS has also renewed its contract with SingTel, having been on its mio TV platform since 2009.

“We’re very happy to be reaching the widest possible pay-tv audience in Singapore by new agreements with both major platforms,” Peter Hutton, managing director of ESPN STAR Sports, said.
