Edelman has appointed two senior strategy directors in a bid to further strengthen its strategic planning offering with brand, reputation and digital clients across the agency.Nisha Sivan (pictured left) will be joining as strategy director, brand and Logan Smith (pictured right) as strategy director, digital. Both appointments will be reporting to Remona Duquesne, chief strategy officer for Edelman Singapore, who joined the agency earlier this year.Prior to the appointment, Sivan took on the role of planning director of the Mastercard and Nestlé Purina regional businesses at McCann Worldgroup. She brings over 15 years of experience in management consulting, advertising and brand consulting across Asia, and has held client management and strategy roles at Ogilvy, Leo Burnett, Grey and DIA Brands in both Singapore and Malaysia.Meanwhile, Smith’s career spanned across journalism, digital, PR and advertising across three continents. Most recently, Smith was the digital strategy lead at MullenLowe Singapore, where he worked with clients such as Unilever, FrieslandCampina, AkzoNobel, Johnson & Johnson and F&N among others. According to Duquesne, the skills of both appointments “fit perfectly” with Edelman’s commitment of helping clients solve problems in new ways.“We weren’t looking to hire conventional talent bound by traditional swim lanes. We were looking for excellent collaborators armed with an entrepreneurial spirit, who know how to create impact in a rapidly changing landscape and who are passionate about data, media and creativity. Smith and Sivan are all of the above and more,” Duquesne added.Read also:EDB and Edelman Singapore sign 3-year deal in EPIC partnershipEdelman repositions, explicitly ‘doesn’t wish to replicate the ad agency model’Edelman opens Shenzhen office
