Easy.my targets RM6 million revenue

Malaysia - Online retail platform and web-hosting provider Exabytes Network has outlined its three-year business plan for its e-commerce division Easy.my, revealing that it aims to achieve RM6 million in transaction revenue by 2014.Exabytes chief executive officer Chan Kee Siak (left) said it hopes to achieve its target through acquisitions, celebrity tie-ups and a series of online campaigns comprising ad buys and online exhibitions.It recently acquired online shopping sites Himall.my and EziVoucher.com to expand Easy.my's capacity to meet market demand for online shopping in Southeast Asia.According to Chan, Exabytes is leveraging on the popularity of online purchases and the mobile trend by offering merchants a platform to better market their products via promotions.It also entered into a strategic partnership with P1 Communications and PayPal to ramp up the local e-commerce market for online retailers and merchants.Through this partnership, Easy.my merchants will get discounts when subscribing to P1 broadband Internet services while it will provide product bundles and cross sell to SMEs and young entrepreneurs.It has also tied up with the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) in its Get Malaysian Business Online (GMBO) initiative to help get more SMEs online through seminars and workshops.Chan also shared that Malaysian model Amber Chia has started her own fashion and beauty service offering on Easy.my."We are always looking for potential prospects through acquisitions to enhance our online offering," said Chan.
