The Defence Science and Technology Agency (DSTA) has appointed incumbent OMD Singapore as its media agency. The agency will undertake media planning and buying activities for a period of three years. Prior to the routine procurement process, OMD Singapore has held the account for seven years. The account is valued at approximately SG$4million to SG$5million.
The pitch follows a recently concluded tender which saw four other agencies vying for the account. This includes GroupM Singapore, IPG Mediabrands, Pinheads Interactive and Vizeum Singapore.
In July last year, DSTA called for a public tender in a bid to appoint an agency partner for the provision of integrated marketing communications and events management services. It also includes the provision of public relations and counselling services as well as advertising and graphics.
The contract is also for a period of three years, according to Gebiz and has yet to be officially concluded.
