DOT launches Bangon Tours

The Department of Tourism (DOT) has launched a new campaign called “Bangon Tours” that offers cheap accommodation to consumers while donating a portion of the proceeds to selected charities and foundations.Available from December to February, the DOT’s Tourism Promotions Board created special tour packages to 16 tourist hotspots around the country, with plans to add more destinations.Establishments joining the campaign are asked to share at least five percent of their net income from the tour packages/room nights sold via Bangon Tours.Participants the Manila Hotel, Diamond Hotel Philippines, EDSA Shangri-La Hotel, Agoda.com, Duty-Free Philippines and members of the Philippine Travel Agencies Association. The latest company to sign up with Bangon Tours is Cebu Pacific and launched its Bangon Tour Seat Sale earlier this month.Participating tourism establishments and companies are featured in DOT/TPB’s website, social network accounts, online portals, print ads and other marketing communications.
