Dimsum reveals 4 new regional content partnerships

Dimsum has launched its “Celebrate Asia with Us” initiative to mark its first anniversary and reveal the upcoming addition of four new regional content partners. This includes Ani-One (Hong Kong), GMM Grammy (Thailand), Celestial Tiger Entertainment (Hong Kong) and Asia Travel (Taiwan), which joins its platform.Its partnership with Ani-One is a first overseas one for the latter, and features popular Japanese animated movies and cartoon series. Its collaboration with Thai media conglomerate GMM is also said to be a “strategic” one, according to a press statement. This comes as dimsum continues to expand its Thai drama offering. dimsum has also tied up with Asia Travel, a Taiwanese travel channel which looks to provide the most up to date tourist information, along with programme offerings. This ranges from adventure, cultural exploration to cuisine and all-encompassing travel variety programs.During the three-day “Celebrate Asia with Us” event, dimsum launched various “Asian country-themed” activities and attractive prizes to be won. This included Singaporean celebrity appearances by Singaporean artists, Desmond Tan (pictured left), Pierre Png (pictured right) and Paige Chua (pictured middle) who were present to promote their new drama, When Duty Calls, and to meet their fans.This will be followed by Thai artists’ meet-and-greet with Esther Supreeleela and Pathompong Reonchaidee (Toy) on 3 December 2017.“Celebrate Asia with Us is a great chance for us to showcase what dimsum has achieved so far, reward our subscribers for their support and get everyone really excited about the year ahead,” Lam Swee Kim, chief marketing officer of dimsum said.In November 2017, dimsum integrated convenient payment options with major telecommunication providers in Malaysia.
