DBS tipped to shortlist media agencies

Singapore-based DBS Bank which has operations in multiple markets across Asia is believed to have has shortlisted at least three agencies for the next round of its media pitch.The agencies are MEC, MediaCom and Performics. Incumbent Havas Media will not be progressing to the next round, according to sources close to development.DBS, when contacted, declined to comment on the development.DBS Bank currently has a presence in markets such as Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong, China, Indonesia, India and Taiwan.  The media pitch covers both the DBS and POSB brands. The pitch is managed by marketing consultant TrinityP3.Havas Media held the account for close to seven years. Late last year, the agency worked with DBS to launch a SG$25 million regional brand campaign  titled Igniting Possibilities, Sparking Joy”. For POSB, one of Singapore’s largest and oldest people’s banks under the DBS umbrella, the bank worked to create a major content push with the launch of a new content platform calledNeighboursFirst.sg.Recently, DBS also established a SGD 50 million foundation to strengthen its corporate social responsibility efforts in Singapore and across Asia.
