Coca-Cola appoints Dentsu as AOR in China

The Coca-Cola Company announced Dentsu Aegis Network China as its new media agency of record, to undertake all media planning and buying across Coca-Cola in China, effective from 1 April 2017.

The agency said it creates a new in-house team, the Dentsu Coca-Cola Community (DCCC), to leverage the Dentsu Aegis Network operating model to deliver a full spectrum of services and capabilities to Coca-Cola with efficiency.

“We are thrilled to have this opportunity to work with The Coca-Cola Company in China and to create a unique team solution that will enable TCCC to access all of our capabilities,” said Phil Teeman, group managing director of Dentsu Aegis Network China.

Michelle Yang, media director at the Coca-Cola Company Greater China, commented, “After assessing proposals from various agencies, Coca-Cola China has decided to appoint Dentsu Aegis Network as our partner. Dentsu Aegis Network has proven media integration capabilities and digital savvy leadership to help drive paid media planning and buying covering TV, out-of-home, digital and paid social media. We look forward to working with them to create some great work together.”
