For the third year running, The Color Run is back in Singapore with CIMB Bank as its presenting sponsor. The run will take place over the weekend of 22 and 23 August 2015 – the same month that the nation celebrates its 50th birthday. With 18,000 people expected to register, The Color Run presented by CIMB Bank in Singapore is the biggest installment of the series in Southeast Asia. Including the races in Jakarta and Kuala Lumpur this year, The Color Run presented by CIMB Bank would have attracted close to 120,000 color runners in Southeast Asia by the end of 2015.Just as in previous years, and in line with its goal of giving back to the community, SG$1 from every registration will go to the Coalition Against Bullying for Children and Youth (CABCY) this year. Founded in 2005, the CABCY is a voluntary organization that works to spread awareness about and combat the different forms of bullying.“The excitement and buzz around The Color Run over the past years have been phenomenal and we're delighted to bring the run back to Singapore for the third consecutive time. This year will be especially momentous, and CIMB Bank Singapore can’t wait to color the nation with the runners as we celebrate Singapore’s 50 years of independence,” said Mak Lye Mun, country head of CIMB Group Singapore and chief executive officer of CIMB Bank Singapore.“The past two events in Singapore have been such an overwhelming hit that we are beyond excited about bringing The Color Run back to this amazing city. We would like to extend our gratitude to CIMB Bank, whose invaluable support has made this event possible,” said Robbie Henchman, senior vice president, Head of IMG Asia Pacific.
