Chan resumes management role at TVB

TVB general manager Stephen Chan has resumed his post at Hong Kong's biggest broadcast group, despite facing bribery and fraud charges.A statement from TVB, said after careful consideration, the board decided to allow Chan to resume his as general manager of broadcasting, except for duties and work pertaining to artiste management and casting arrangement.Chan, along with two defendants Tseng Pei-kun, director of Idea Empire Advertising and Wilson Chan Wing-shuen, TVB's head of business development of marketing and sales, faces five bribery and fraud charges."The board of directors of the company is aware that the allegations against him purport to relate to his involvement in artiste management and his performance in a show. His other duties and work at the Company are not the subject of investigation by ICAC," the statement said.All three defendants are scheduled to appear in the district in the next week to enter pleas to the charges. TVB said it will continue to monitor the development of the legal proceedings against him.
