Carat Asia Pacific names managing director

Carat Asia Pacific has appointed Kevin Walsh to managing director of Carat Asia Pacific. This is a newly-created role, and according to the agency "reflects Carat’s rapid growth and its continued ambition to deliver great work to clients."In his new role, Walsh (pictured) will be responsible for driving and ensuring excellence in client service and product delivery for all clients. Prior to this, Walsh was chief digital officer at Carat Asia Pacific, where he spearheaded successful integrated and innovative digital solutions that helped clients achieve their business objectives.Walsh has over 20 years of experience in the media industry – of which 15 were specialised in digital. Prior to Carat, he held various senior leadership roles such as executive media director NetX in Australia, Managing Director at Neo@Ogilvy in both Sydney and Melbourne as well as managing director at iProspect Australia and subsequently, Asia Pacific.He has worked with clients such as Visa International, MasterCard, Warner Bros, L’Oreal, P&G, IBM, Subaru, Nissan and Frieslandcampina.Sean O’Brien, CEO of Carat Asia Pacific, said, “Walsh has demonstrated an exceptional level of commercial acumen and management skills. Under his leadership, he helped multiple clients achieve their digital ambition and built a strong digital community within the business, which reinforced the agency’s digital credentials."Walsh said, “Carat has lead the industry quality and new business rankings in recent years and my goal is to see that continues by ensuring we provide a quality product to our clients that delivers against their business objectives – all the while making every interaction with our teams a great one.”Carat is part of the Dentsu Aegis Network. In what is said to be a major cost cutting move and “eliminate duplicate costs” Dentsu Aegis Network recently consolidated the Asia Pacific and SEA functions for its finance, HR, legal, IT and communications departments.
