Luxury brand Chanel has released a teaser for a short film - "Reincarnation" - directed by the brand's head designer and creative director Karl Lagerfeld. This production is in lieu of the Chanel Paris-Salzburg 2014/15  Métiers d'art collection which will beshown 2 December in Salzburg, Austria and is set for a launch on 1 December. Taking the forefront of the campaign are English supermodel Cara Delevingne and artiste Pharrell Williams, who not only features in the film but also composed and wrote lyrics to "CC The World", the original soundtrack for Reincarnation. This was an artistic collaboration with Lagerfeld. In the short 40-second teaser, we are re-introduced to Delevingne (as Gabrielle Chanel) and Williams who are seen dancing together, dressed in grand eighteenth century garb,  whilst Williams' whimsical track plays in the background. In a press statement, Karl Lagerfeld explained the concept behind the film. He said: "It was time to show the origins of the Chanel jacket, inspired by the one worn by the lift attendant in a hotel near Salzburg in the 1950s (…) 'Reincarnation' is the story of a lift attendant’s jacket being reincarnated as a timeless piece of women’s wear.""None of this would have been possible without Pharrell Williams, Cara Delevingne and Geraldine Chaplin. It’s the perfect cast. Pharrell is a genius and Geraldine at her best in the role of Gabrielle Chanel in the year of her comeback," he added.Watch the teaser below:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3lPIoodHEPYWritten by Prasanthi Ram
