Burson-Marsteller names China CEO

Burson-Marsteller has named Ruby Fu as CEO of its China operation. Fu will serve as a member of Burson-Marsteller’s Asia Pacific regional leadership team and focus on growth across its five offices in Mainland China. She reports to Margaret Key, CEO of Burson-Marsteller Asia Pacific.Fu is returning to Burson-Marsteller, having worked there in the 1990's as Taiwan managing director. She replaces Daisy King who served as president of Burson-Marsteller China since 2014. King is returning to the U.S. full-time to continue her role leading Burson-Marsteller’s China Specialty Practice and as a senior advisor for China-focused clients based in other markets.Most recently, she was Head of Corporate Affairs, Hong Kong and Greater China, for Standard Chartered Bank, overseeing communications strategies, crisis and reputation management and corporate social responsibility programmes.Fu started her career with Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide in 1986 as a founding member of its Taiwan office. During her 13 years with the firm, she held positions including General Manager Taiwan and Managing Director of Hong Kong and mainland China.
