Brand's joins sponsorships for Cycle Asia

Brand's will be launching its new Gen U Ginseng Nutritive Drink at the Brand's Prologue event, as part of this year's Cycle Asia Singapore on the 11 April 2015.Brand's joins Japanese probiotic dairy brand Yakult and Boost Juice Bars™ of Australia as category title sponsors for Cycle Asia Singapore 2015, the seventh installment of the cycling event.The Brand's Prologue is a brand new category which will be introduced for the first time during this year’s Cycle Asia Singapore 2015 event to be held from 10-12 April at the F1 Pit Building. Some 500 amateur cyclists are to participate on the same competition course which the professional riders competed on in previous editions.“Brand's has long been associated with healthy living so it makes for a perfect fit for them to be part of the rebranded Cycle Asia Singapore, which is going back to its origins to promote cycling for the masses as a healthy lifestyle,” Chris Robb, chief executive officer, Spectrum Worldwide.Australian pro-rider Jonathan Cantwell of UCI Professional Continental Team Drapac Professional Cycling who will be in town for Cycle Asia Singapore, will lay down the time marker for all riders to test themselves against in the Brand's Prologue event, which will be held on the morning of Saturday, 11 April at the F1 Pit Building to officially kick off the event.Cycle Asia ambassador and former pro-rider Robbie McEwen will attempt to beat the best time set as the last rider in the field. There will be a ‘live’ results leader-board showing the pace setters on the 2.2km course.The organisers have also launched a ‘Design the Cycle Asia Boost Smoothie’ contest, which will allow fans of the Boost Juice Bars™ to introduce their own special smoothie concoctions for the event.“At Boost we are all about having fun and being healthy at the same time, so being aligned with an event like Cycle Asia Singapore is a perfect fit in many ways,” said Nick Tiernan, managing director, owner and founder of Vitality Boost Sdn Bhd & Lovelife Ventures, which owns the Boost Master Franchise for Malaysia, Singapore & Brunei.“Cycling is one of the fastest growing sport in this region and the ‘Design the Cycle Asia Boost Smoothie’ contest is our way of engaging with our growing legion of fans in Singapore, many of whom are taking part in Cycle Asia Singapore.”
