BMW Group Malaysia has appointed Ingress Auto as its newest authorised MINI representative in the country. The new MINI dealership, named MINI Ingress, is scheduled to launch year-end and occupies a total build-up space of approximately 4,700 square feet with the ability to display up to five MINIs at any one time."The Bangsar area is one of the prime areas in Klang Valley. The location is very MINI with a market capability of delivering more than 200 cars in the next two to three years," said Dr Gerhard Pils, managing director of BMW Group Malaysia.Ingress Auto was chosen because it has been BMW dealers since 2008 and it has a good track record with BMW.The new facility will also be the first in the country to be equipped with the MINI Hub, the latest customer welcome centre concept, which features a creative cafe that comes equipped with Apple devices and lifestyle product display areas with comfortable customer lounges. At the announcement, MINI Malaysia also unveiled a new two wheel drive variant of the MINI Cooper S Countryman. The new variant of the first four door, five seater MINI was initially only introduced in four wheel drive. The MINI brand has seen healthy year-on-year growth here since its introduction in 2005. Last year, 300 MINIs were sold and as at September this year, BMW sold 259 MINIs, a 15% increase from the same period last year.
