BlisMedia appoints Adam Johnston as CTO

Global advertising technology and big data firm BlisMedia has appointed adtech veteran Adam Johnston (pictured) as chief technology officer. Johnston is based in the firm's London office.Johnston has 15 years’ experience in the digital field and has has held senior technical roles at Exchange Labs, Google, VCCP, Tribal DDB, Agency Republic and AKQA. Data, an expanding element of BlisMedia’s capabilities, will be a key focus for Johnston and the team as they scale up data projects and source additional data partners.“BlisMedia is operating in a great space, with a highly compelling platform for advertisers to reach their audiences, and I will be looking closely at the BlisMedia data set and how we can continue to further develop a market-leading platform over the next five years. I’m fortunate to join an already great team of developers and data scientists," Johnston added.Greg Isbister, CEO and founder of Blismedia, whom Johnston will be reporting to, said: “Johnston's addition enables BlisMedia to accelerate product innovation, whilst continually providing a best-in-class offering to our clients. His experience in media technology and managing specialist adtech and data science teams is a huge asset to our business.”As part of its global expansion, the company appointed Harry Dewhirst, co-founder of adtech firms Amobee and RingRing Media, to its executive team and Board of Directors in July. Adtech industry leader Nick Ballard also joined the team as managing director, Australia and New Zealand, in September.
