Ben & Jerry’s appoints social media agency

Premium ice cream brand Ben & Jerry’s has appointed social media agency We Are Social to manage its social media presence in Singapore.The agency will be managing the brand’s presence on social media platforms to increase engagement and drive consumption of Ben & Jerry’s. It will also be working to communicate Ben & Jerry’s social mission on social media platforms, while driving one-to-one relationships with fans.We Are Social will be responsible for social content creation and the community management of Ben & Jerry’s Facebook page. The agency will also be creating a strategy to manage the activation of additional social media channels.The agency will also work closely with Ben & Jerry’s other agencies to deliver fully integrated creative campaigns, kicking off with activity around ChunkFest, Ben & Jerry’s annual ice-cream party in Singapore.The agency will also be using social media to drive footfall to the event as well as amplify existing conversation about ChunkFest, in particular the new ice-cream flavour that Ben & Jerry’s is planning to launch during the event.“We Are Social had the experience we were looking for to manage our social media presence, as well as a reputation for delivering great results with top quality creative work. We’re delighted to be working with an agency that knows Singapore’s social landscape inside out,” Kenneth Lau, brand manager (category lead) at Ben & Jerry’s said.“Ben & Jerry’s is one of the world’s most exciting and engaging brands, with strong social values and a real community approach. It has huge potential in social media, and we’re looking forward to exploring a highly creative strategy with the broader Ben & Jerry’s team,” Simon Kemp, managing director, We Are Social Singapore, said.The initial appointment is for six months and the previous agency of record was Arcade.Marketing understands there will be a pitch next year for the account.
