Arcade names new group MD

Arcade Group has named Dorothy Yew (pictured right) as group managing director. Meanwhile, Lesley John (pictured left) has been appointed general manager for the agency's Singapore office.Promoted from managing director of Arcade Singapore, to the newly-created role of group managing director, Yew takes on overall responsibility for the business performance of the five offices in Arcade Group’s growing network. She will also be retaining her global leadership role on Unilever.Yew’s 20-year international career in advertising and marketing spans London, Singapore and Bangkok working with agencies such as BBH, BBDO and McCann Erickson. Her regional account management responsibilities have included Unilever, MasterCard, ExxonMobil and F&N Coca Cola. On the marketing side, Yew was Tiger Beer’s senior communications manager across all brand communications, including production of the popular campaign starring Hollywood’s Jessica Alba.After two years at Arcade, John has been promoted from business director to GM. She will be assuming responsibility for business growth, company culture and staff growth, welfare and recruitment.John continues to lead key growth accounts, including the Heineken Asia Pacific business. She spent the bulk of her 10-year advertising career in Singapore at Bartle Bogle Hegarty Asia Pacific working on global and regional clients such as British Airways, Levi’s, Diageo’s Johnnie Walker, Coca-Cola’s Minute Maid and vitamin water and Singapore Tourism Board.
