An interactive cat map for at-home felines

There are two types of pet lovers: dog people and cat people. But in the digital world, so far the latter has won.In an effort to promote animal conservation and a new local exhibition, Zoological Society of London has made a Cat Map that pinpoints the exact locations of, eventually, all the world’s housecats.Currently, the programme has more than 3,000 felines complete with photos, names, colour, gender and description. Visitors can also virtually share their favourite animal through Facebook, Google and Twitter.Cat-lovers can also search pets with the scroll bars on the left of the page, which define age, gender, colour and name.A search for a black and white male cat found Sampo (pictured) in Finland: he’s six years old and is “a very easy-going guy”.
