Allianz records growth in profits

Allianz Malaysia Group (AMB) has recorded strong growth in the first six months of the year on the back of increased profits.AMB has recorded a Gross Written Premium (GWP) of RM1.47 billion in the first six months of the year compared to RM1.3 billion in the same period last year.AMB CEO Jens Reisch (pictured) said an example of the growth strategies that led to a positive first half of the year was the expansion of its agency channel to 10,800 agents, achieved through its ‘One Malaysia Agency' project.The group also launched a major marketing initiative titled ‘One Campaign' this year via television, radio commercials and print advertisements, which Reisch said was done for the first time with its customers and not actors."This ‘One Campaign' focuses on sharing knowledge and experiences of real people in authentic situations and we are collecting real stories from our customers for this purpose. Thus, with the support received and the positive growth rate, we are confident that we are on the right track," he added.The integrated financial services provider said its brand image has improved since the campaign launched and has enabled it to build a close and trusting relationship with consumers, making it a contributing factor to the group's growth.While unable to reveal its marketing budget allocation in the future, the company said digital will be the core focus of all its future campaigns for Allianz worldwide and Malaysia will follow suit.
