Alchemy extends its remit with Unilever into the Cambodia market

Unilever has officially appointed Alchemy as Closeup’s digital agency in Cambodia. The new appointment came following a pitch against two other creative agencies in Cambodia.

The Singapore head quartered agency also works with Unilever in Singapore. In efforts to increase brand awareness and improve turnover, the creative agency will be responsible for its online strategic direction, growth and development.

“I’m thrilled to award Alchemy with the Closeup brand as we were very impressed with their proposal. From every discussion we’ve had as a team, we believe that Alchemy truly understands young consumers; and they’ve shown great passion in the project by trying to deeply connect with the brand in order to deliver such an insightful proposal. We’re looking forward to working together to see just how much this brand can grow,” said Socheata Sam, marketing manager of Personal Care in Unilever, Cambodia.

Alchemy’s CEO, Alvin Wong said, “The digital space in Cambodia has great potential and our partnership will enable Closeup to be an even more competitive brand in the market.”

Founded in 2005, Alchemy handles a range of clients under the Unilever brand in Singapore, as well as other clientele such as Heineken (Asia Pacific), Red Bull, F&N, Ford, Peugeot and Maki-San, amongst others.
