Airbnb, the global hospitality leader in authentic travel experiences, has awarded its Southeast Asia communications remit to strategic communications advisory firm Teneo Blue Rubicon. This was following a pitch which was held late last year.
The work will include building Airbnb’s brand across the region as well as raising awareness about the economic, cultural and social benefits of home-sharing to consumers and policymakers. Teneo Blue Rubicon will represent Airbnb in Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia.
“We are thrilled to partner with Teneo Blue Rubicon to support our communications goals and priorities in Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia. They will play a vital role as we embark on the next phase of our journey in Southeast Asia and aim to unlock the region’s vast potential,” said Aurora Kessler, Airbnb’s regional communications lead for Asia Pacific.
Danny Phan, Teneo Blue Rubicon’s regional managing director for Asia Pacific added: “Airbnb is the kind of client that motivates us to get up and come to work every day. We couldn’t be more proud to represent them, or excited about what we can achieve together. Not only has Airbnb completely transformed the way we travel and connect to the world around us, they foster a deep sense of belonging and togetherness – attributes especially relevant and paramount today.”
Teneo Blue Rubicon’s Asia Pacific first launched in the market in 2015. Its roster includes Coca-Cola, Mondelēz International and Shell, to Takeda Pharmaceuticals, Heineken, National Express and Heathrow Airport. It also represents Grab.
