AIA hosts record-breaking Music Run

AIA hosted a record-breaking 15,000 music runners at The Music Run held at Sepang International Circuit.The Music Run Malaysia was presented by AIA for the second year in a row and promoted by Exceed Sports and Entertainment (Exceed), Asia’s sponsorship and events experts. The Music Run by AIA is a 5km fun run that sees participants pass through five different music zones.The turnout in Kuala Lumpur resulted in the award for the “Largest Participation in a Fun Run” record in The Malaysia Book Of Records.[gallery link="file" ids="114216,114215,114218,114217"]Every year, runners help to decide on the music they want to listen to in each zone in collaboration with digital music partner Spotify. The more a song was listened to, voted for and shared on Facebook, the more likely for it to end up as one of the two songs played during the run.Exceed also promotes The Music Run across Asia, including Singapore, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Thailand, The Philippines, Myanmar, and Taiwan.AIA was joined by sponsors including Petron, AirAsia, Da Men, Public Bank, BP Healthcare, Fitness First, Parkamaya, GrabCar, 100Plus and Spotify.Exceed’s co-founder and executive director Martin Capstick said: “AIA have been instrumental in the growth of The Music Run across Asia since its Malaysiandebut last year, including major cities like Bangkok, Singapore, Manila and Shanghai, and we are extremely grateful for their vision and support."Anusha Thavarajah, chief executive officer of AIA said: “The Music Run is fast becoming a household brand across Asia and we are excited to be a part of this growing phenomenon.”
