A+E Networks appoints new CCO

A+E Networks has appointed Amanda Hill as chief creative officer, International. She will report to Sean Cohan, executive vice president, International.Hill (pictured) will oversee international marketing, communication and programing teams across A+E Networks’ global portfolio. She will be responsible for managing and growing marketing in support of A+E brands and businesses, including brand strategy, consumer and B2B marketing, on-air creative execution, communications and research for rapid-growth channels, program sales, and digital businesses around the world.In addition, she will be in charge of all content for the division, including development of original programming and co-productions, as well as strategic management of A+E Networks’ content sourced from domestic networks, locally and globally produced and acquired.Prior to joining A+E Networks, Hill was chief brands officer BBC Worldwide since December 2012. She was responsible for developing the overarching brand strategy for all of BBC Worldwide's businesses and formats and maximising the value of its international and multi-format properties.  Hill joined BBC Worldwide in 2003 having previously worked across a portfolio of FMCG brands at L'Oreal and at Added Value, leading the development and re-positioning of global brands.Cohan said: “With her worldwide perspective, passionate creativity and strategic acumen, she will be the ideal partner to continue the rapid expansion of our brands and content in the international marketplace.”“A+E Networks has a powerful portfolio of world class brands and some of the most enticing characters in TV that entertain great waves of people around the world.  I’m incredibly excited about the opportunities to establish even closer relationships with international audiences through the mix and quality of content, innovation to deliver cut through, and commitment to continuing to surprise and delight,” Hill added.
