Adknowledge Asia names regional CEO

Adknowledge Asia, the joint venture between Axiata and Adknowledge, has appointed Matt Sutton (pictured) as its first CEO in the Asia Pacific region.Sutton was previously senior vice president of operations in Adknowledge Asia. In the newly established regional CEO position, Sutton will report to the board, which includes Adknowledge Inc. global CEO, Ben Legg, who has been overseeing AdParlor's new wave of expansion across the region.Adknowledge Asia is the exclusive partner of AdParlor, APAC's largest social and video advertising technology platform. Sutton will be responsible for driving the next wave of expansion for AdParlor. The plans include doubling headcount through growth in existing markets (Singapore, Hong Kong, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Korea, India, Philippines and Taiwan) as well as entering new markets.Adknowledge Asia is also currently using telecom data to improve ad targeting and insight generation on social media networks through the AdParlor platform, in partnership with Axiata. The platform enables advertisers to generate maximum ROI from the social space as well as facilitate advertisers moving media spend form TV to digital video, to capture the growing audience of consumers watching video on social channels."As a real champion of programmatic and data-driven advertising, he is perfectly poised to lead the business. I've been working closely with Sutton in his SVP position in Adknowledge Asia and look forward to continuing our work together to drive AdParlor's growth across APAC over the coming months," Legg added.The new appointment also sees Damien Lavin, managing director for SEA and ANZ promoted to chief revenue officer. Lavin will oversee customer acquisition and service across all of Adknowledge Asia's offices and will report to Sutton.
