adidas takes local focus, reworks SEA ranks

As part of a regional restructure, adidas has named its Singapore ops the lead market for Southeast Asia with several marketing changes.Until now the Southeast Asian region was one entity but moving forward the sports apparel brand has added commercial responsibilities for the Singapore market to the regional team's remit.Also, to align with the new global marketing structure, adidas has merged its sports performance and sports style division.  The combined entity is now headed by Amit DasGupta as director brand, SEA managing all brand/marketing related activities in the region.Trevor Teo will take over as senior manager, brand and sports marketing responsible for communications and sport marketing in Singapore and across Southeast Asia, replacing Marcus Chew who has since moved to China within the same company.In his new role Teo reports to DasGupta. Chew's new role is that of brand marketing director for adidas in China.As part of the changes, Ralph Kotterer, managing director, Southeast Asia & Pacific together with all SEA directors will be responsible for Singapore and the rest of the markets.
