Acer appoints consultant for global creative pitch

Taiwanese IT brand Acer has appointed a consultant for its global creative pitch process, and is currently in the midst of shortlisting agencies.It has appointed Roth Observatory International (ROI) to manage its global creative agency pitch process. The appointed agency will help the brand develop its global brand idea, which will be executed  across key markets and channels. The pitch is set to conclude by the end of January.ROI was appointed at the chemistry meeting stage and is managing the process to a shortlist of four agencies for the final pitch process. Grey London, Saatchi & Saatchi Singapore, DDB Amsterdam/Shanghai and Dentsu Aegis Singapore/Japan are the agencies in the shortlist.Both international 4A’s agencies and boutique agencies were considered in the process and the brief excludes the work and partnership with Red Peak, who is Acer’s branding consultancy, said ROI.Roth Observatory’s managing partner for Asia Pacific, Paul Davies said that the company is working with Acer’s global marketing team.  “Acer has grown and succeeded in this challenging industry since 1976 due to it’s ability to innovate and sheer tenacity. This pitch process has been designed to find a marketing communications partner that will help them continue with their growth and success,” said Davies.The consultancy works with both marketing and procurement professionals to maximise marketing resources. It currently works with brands such as BMW, Boeing, Coca-Cola, Google, MINI, SABMiller, Samsung, Target, Toyota and Vonage. In Asia Pacific, ROI has offices in Singapore and Tokyo.
