Indonesia - Effective 1 February 2013, IndoPacific Edelman will be rebranded as Edelman Indonesia with offering of boutique-style services.Since acquiring the firm, Edelman has invested in IndoPacific, positioning it to offer services to best meet the needs of Indonesia as an emerging economic force. This rebranding comes after IndoPacific Edelman in 2012 spun off its subsidiary, Stratcom, as a separate sister agency Zeno Stratcom which is now part of Edelman's global sister PR brand, Zeno.Edelman Indonesia has identified three trending business needs in Indonesia that are at the heart of its strategic business direction. They include the impact of Indonesia's rapidly changing social and political landscape on foreign investment, harnessing the power of social media and preparing local companies for international expansion."We've structured the new Edelman Indonesia to offer both our clients and our employee partners the best of both worlds. We need to be just as adept handling crisis that start online as we are igniting interest in a new brand. We also need to offer clients experts who have the expertise to deal with topics as wide-rangin as labor and employment issues, NGO partnerships and investor relations," said Stephen Lock (pictured), chief executive officer of IndoPacific Edelman.Edelman Indonesia has adopted a structure and approach that enables the firm to retain and build on its deep roots as an Indonesian company. The major areas of emphasis include continued investment in highly specialised ‘boutique expertise', market-leading digital and social media services, to leverage the power of the Edelman Global network and proprietary tools and to make Edelman Indonesia as the leader in the PR industry.
